Episode 8 (anime), Act 2 Ami - Sailor Mercury (manga)

Ami Mizuno, the current incarnation of Sailor Mercury, is one of the main characters of the Sailor Moon series written by Naoko Takeuchi. A genius schoolgirl, she is the first member of the Sailor Senshi to be discovered by Sailor Moon, and serves as the "brains" of the group.

Ami's most-emphasized character trait is her enormously intelligent as shown in the anime and manga. She is rumored by other characters to have an IQ of three hundred. She is quite sweet, gentle, and loyal, as well as slightly insecure. She is generally the most sensible of the main characters, and is often the only one embarrassed when the group has a dull-witted moment. She hopes to be a doctor one day, like her mother.

Secretly, she is also a fan of pop culture and romance novels, which she becomes embarrassed whenever this is pointed out.

Sailor Mercury has the surprisingly strong and powerful elemental power and ability to, create, command, and manipulate water. For the majority of the first story arc, she uses her water-controlling capabilities only to create incredibly solid and dense clouds of mist and fog, chilling and blinding the enemy while her allies prepare more direct attacks. In the updated renewal manga, this power is renamed Mercury Aqua Mist to match the live-action series, in which she has an offensive beam attack by that name, which is capable of destroying weaker enemies. She uses a total of five attacks in this series, most of which are variations on the first.

Role in RakenzarnEdit

Ami makes her brief appearance in the very beginning of Rakenzarn as one of the first characters Kyuu interacts with.

She was one of the girls the player can date. In order to get her attention, the player had to impress her by matching her intellect and help her to overcome her shyness. If the relationship had gotten even deeper, it would have attracted some of her friends including Usagi Tsukino - a.k.a. Sailor Moon.

However, the idea due to the game's rewritten story. Instead, she became an NPC.
